Information You Submit
When you enter a name, phone number, or address in a search form, that entry goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Patterson People Search does not save a copy of the query on its own servers. A message sent through our contact channel contains only what you choose to provide, and we use that information to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create routine server logs that may include an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which Patterson record resources are useful. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The information described above helps us operate Patterson People Search, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell a list of our visitors. We do not build profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Patterson People Search links to City of Patterson resources, Stanislaus County and California records offices, library collections, government portals, and third-party search tools. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy, and data you submit there is governed by their rules, not ours. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results, which come from a third-party company.
When Information Is Shared
Vendors that host or support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected data noted above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
Safeguarding Your Information
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are kept only for as long as the stated purposes require. Since Patterson People Search has no user accounts, it holds no account password or user profile that could be exposed here.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted personal information, and we will remove it.
Your California Privacy Rights
Depending on the circumstances, California residents may have rights under the CCPA and CPRA to know about, correct, or delete personal information a covered business holds. Because Patterson People Search retains very little, a request will usually involve checking our contact mailbox and server logs and deleting responsive information we control. Submit a request through the Contact page. California's Delete Act also created the California Privacy Protection Agency's DROP system for deletion requests to registered data brokers, but that separate process does not remove government records. Records held by the City of Patterson, Stanislaus County, or a California agency remain under the custodian's control, so a request about such a record must go to that office.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will be posted here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
